This module will give learners the practical and expert skills to design and integrate security systems that tie together numerous subsystems into one complete, highly coordinated, and highly functional system. With a flexible and scalable enterprise-level system, security decision-makers can make better informed decisions when incidents occur and improve their operational efficiencies in ways that were not possible before now.

For instance, a business can have the following security systems: Video Surveillance, Access Control, Intrusion Alarm, Public Address System, Uniformed Guard Service integrated for efficiency, cost-effectiveness and superior security management. By the end of this course, participants will have gained the required skills to become electronic security experts.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the strategic, technical, and tactical aspects of the design process for a complete understanding of integrated digital security system design
  • Describe the fundamentals as well as special design considerations such as radio frequency systems and interfacing with legacy systems or emerging technologies
  • Demonstrate how to maximise safety while reducing liability and operating costs
